The Product Manager will manage the planning and product creation process from concept through commercialization. They will take ownership of product initiatives, development and execution of product business plans, sales and margin accountability and calendar management for product launches. The Product Manager owns relevant information on consumers and competitors and assists the Product Team in identifying trends, business strategy plans and analysis.  They will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and the Product teams to successfully navigate products to the development stage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Builds and manages a planned seasonal product business for the existing Corkcicle assortment, and accurately positions new brand initiatives by determining the “who, how many, when, where…” for all product releases.
  • Accountable for creating clear seasonal briefs and merchandising plans supported with business insight including price points, margin goals, planned life cycles, and relevant market/consumer data that strategically drive the product line to fulfill short and long-term goals.
  • Examines, reports, and tracks performance of products in the marketplace, and determines reasons for success or failure.
  • Manages product partnerships and special projects along with the business plans that support them.
  • Works closely with product design resources to make sure designs are answering the active briefs and business needs.
  • Works with Marketing and Sales to help coordinate and develop category initiative for selling and marketing tools.
  • Actively participates in product development cycle including identifying potential issues, solutions for process challenges and to execute sample/prototype production.
  • Serves as a key departmental contact for manufacturing partners (foreign / domestic)
  • Presents product information to key internal and external groups in a comprehensive, clear and tactical manner.  
  • Builds and maintains interdepartmental relationships with all functional areas
  • Attends key account meetings, trade shows, market visits for presentation, relationship building and trend/market research.
