The Product Developer will play an integral role in the development, release and pre-production of Corkcicle products. The Product Developer serves as a primary liaison between Corkcicle and our offshore vendors and our sourcing partners, initiating cross-functional sourcing and development of new styles, and ensures the development of products to meet or exceed margin targets and is completed according to our release schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans and tracks the development schedule of all products according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability, performance and profitability goals. Collaborates with Marketing, Sales and Production for successful execution.
  • Sources production capacity with new and existing factories outside the U.S.
  • Negotiates pricing with factories and manages initial purchase orders.
  • Works with sourcing partners and factories to develop new materials, manufacturing  techniques and processes to support new and innovative products.
  • Creates and maintains appropriate documentation for assigned products; ensures all appropriate development documentation is completed, including product specs, costing and prototype notes.
  • Tracks and facilitates sampling and prototyping for products; identifies and addresses key issues and challenges in construction/manufacturing and plans accordingly to deliver proven and tested product.  Approves all pre-production samples.
  • Monitors and communicates progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements product release deadlines.
  • Keeps abreast of new technology and manufacturing trends throughout the development process.
  • Engages with Senior Management appropriately to ensure projects are completed within corporate guidelines and goals for all facets of product creation.
